A photograph of Sue Martin About the author
Sue Martin holds National Plant Collection® of Geum. She has been growing geums ever since moving to her present garden 20 years ago. This book is a result of her obsession with these plants and their history. The majority of cultivars available to gardeners today are described as well as a representative selection of species.

All the photographs of geums in the book were taken by Sue in her garden. Visitors are welcome to see around Sue Martin’s garden by appointment or on days when the garden is open under the National Gardens Scheme. May and June are the best times to see the geums in flower – there are in the region of 100 different ones planted throughout this attractive cottage-style garden.
